Welcoming ceremony with the Unesco Art of Spider and Bai Choi art
On December 7, 2017, the 12th session of the Intergovernmental Committee of the 2003 Convention on the Protection of UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage took place in Jeju, Korea. Here, the Bai Choi Art Heritage of Central Vietnam was officially registered by UNESCO on the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
This is an important event not only for the Central provinces where Bai Choi singing art teams operate, but also contributes to affirming the rich and diverse cultural identity of the Vietnamese people, as well as demonstrate Vietnam's commitments to the preservation of cultural and artistic values of humanity.
Especially for Hoi An, where Bai Choi art is becoming an indispensable spiritual dish for local people and a unique form of art that Hoi An people introduce to domestic and foreign friends. internationally, this event is even more meaningful in honoring the traditional values that the government and people here are trying to preserve and promote.
Celebrate the event of Central Coast Bai Choi Art being registered as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity; The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of Quang Nam province and Hoi An city to organize a ceremony to welcome the certificate of Bai Choi art in Quang Nam at 7:00 p.m. on May 7, 2018 at Dong Hiep Park, Hoi An city.
The program has many attractive activities such as: parade to receive the Certificate of Recognition in the Old Quarter with the participation of brothers and sisters from Bai Choi art troupes in the province; Performing folk songs and Bai Choi folk songs; Organizing a Bai Choi festival with many attractive gifts for residents and tourists... promises to bring the audience exciting moments of entertainment.
Hoi An Ancient Town has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage, Cu Lao Cham Hoi An is a World Biosphere Reserve; Now, effectively promoting the art of Bai Choi - Intangible Heritage representing humanity in tourism promotion activities will further embellish the image of Hoi An, thereby contributing to promoting the tourism brand. culture in Hoi An, Quang Nam to domestic and foreign tourists.
